Auburn was still highly decorated following the loss with more players than any other school on the team, four, including Tourney MVP Ronda Brooks. The fourth-seeded Commodores, who fought UT to a double-overtime scoreless draw in the semifinals before the Lady Vols advanced with 4-3 shootout victory, had the second-most honorees with three. Tennessee and Kentucky each had two.

For Dennis, it was the second year in a row she has won the honor, while it was the second honor in a week for Schulz, who was included on the SEC All-Freshman Team earlier this week.

The No. 20 Commodores (16-3-2) now await Monday’s announcement from the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee to see if and where they might play in the first round of next weekend Women’s College Cup Tournament.

The 64-team Women’s College Cup bracket will be announced on ESPNews on Monday, Nov. 7 between approximately 5-5:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Immediately following the ESPNews announcement, the bracket will be available at www.ncaasports.com. If selected, the Vanderbilt would play again Friday, Nov. 11 at a campus host site.
