Day Two: Land Rover Napa Valley Tennis Classic

Charlie Jones led the Commodores with a win in Saturday’s singles play at the Land Rover Napa Valley Tennis Classic, coming back after dropping the first set to defeat his USTA opponent Mitchell Kreuger 1-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Blake Bazarnik won his first set in a tiebreaker against JC Argone 7-6(6), but dropped the next two to lose the match 6-3, 6-3. Luca Corinteli beat Gonzales Austin 6-3, 6-4, and Alexios Halebian defeated senior Alex DiValerio 6-3, 7-5.

In dual play on Saturday, the pair of Bazarnik and DiValerio dropped their match to California’s Nick Andrews and Christopher Konigsfeldt, 8-3.

After two days, Vanderbilt’s team tally is 1-7.
