The Commodores carded a team score of 305 and fell to a tie for 15th place after the second round of the Liz Murphey Fall Preview in Athens. Vanderbilt is tied with South Carolina.
Senior Lauren Stratton led Vanderbilt Saturday with an even-par, 72, and is in a tie for 10th on the individual leaderboard with a 145 (73-72). Kendall Martindale is in a tie for 26th after a second-round 74 and a 148 total (74-74=148), with Jenny Hahn in a tie for 40th (73-78=151), Rene Sobolewski in a tie for 85th (77-84=161), and Irina Gabasa in a tie for 89th (82-81=163).
Auburn maintains its lead with a team total of 580 (287-293) by five strokes over Alabama. The Tigers’ Marta Sanz leads all individuals with a four-under par, 140 (71-69).
Vanderbilt will tee off at 8:50 a.m. Eastern time off of the number 10 tee. Scoring can be found at Golfstat.com the rest of the weekend.
