• In goal, Riley Horoshko leads the conference in goals-against-average with 9.54 which is 27th nationally. Horoshko has started 10 contests this season, making 84 saves and boasting a 6-1 record. Horoshko leads the conference in save percentage at 50 percent
A New Draw Queen in Town
• Freshman Gabby Putman put on a show in the Commodores’ 14-11 win over Mercer, finishing with not only her first career goal but tallying nine draw controls in the win
• The New York native posted back-to-back games with at least nine draw controls before setting a new personal best 14 wins on the circle in the conference opener against Old Dominion, which tied the single game program record set by Kiera Runske earlier this season. Putman then set a new career high and program record 16 draw controls after Vandy’s win over Charlotte
• Putman has already totaled 81 draw controls, just six four shy of becoming the program’s single season leader which is 84 held by Brianne Gross who set the record in 2021
Last Time Out
Logan Risenhoover recorded a career-high six goals to lead Vanderbilt to its third straight win, a 17-7 victory over Lindenwood on Wednesday afternoon at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex
• Vanderbilt (8-6) jumped out to a fast start, scoring five goals in the first quarter and building a 9-2 lead at halftime. The Commodores continued to control the game in the second half, outscoring Lindenwood 8-5 over the final two periods
• Risenhoover added an assist for a game-high seven points, while Molly Krestinski recorded a hat trick with two assists. Brooke Baker finished with two goals, including her 100th career goal. Hayden Miller added a goal and an assist. Defensively, the Commodores held Lindenwood (5-9) to just two first-half goals and forced 19 turnovers. Alex Gladding led the effort with four caused turnovers, while Emme Martin made eight saves in goal.
