On campus in Nashville – The Commodores made their second consecutive appearance in Vanderbilt Stadium Tuesday, pushing through a high-tempo practice that lasted nearly two hours.
The squad used extended segments to finalize much of the offensive and defensive scheme, stage 11-on-11 team drills, and work on various aspects of special teams.
The Commodores are expected to return Wednesday evening for another session in full pads.
SEC Network’s “SEC Nation” show coming to campus Sept. 12
SEC Network’s traveling pregame show, “SEC Nation,” will broadcast from campus Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9-11 a.m.
The show coincides with the Georgia-Vanderbilt game, which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. The “SEC Nation” set will be located at The Commons, on-campus home to Vanderbilt’s first-year student body.
Fans and Commodore students are invited to spend the morning with host Joe Tessitore, analysts Greg McElroy and Marcus Spears, popular radio host and SEC commentator Paul Finebaum, and reporter Kaylee Hartung. Each Saturday, the program previews matchups in the conference, focuses on key issues surrounding the league, and provides a taste of each school’s tailgating scene.
This will mark the show’s first appearance on the Vanderbilt campus. In 2014, the popular show used LP Field, now known as Nissan Stadium, as its backdrop when the Commodores hosted Ole Miss in downtown Nashville.
