Sept. 12, 2013

Vanderbilt’s football team will hit the road for the first time in 2013 on Saturday when the Commodores play at No. 13/14 South Carolina. The game will kick at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. Fans can also listen to the game on 1510 AM, 560 AM and 95.9 FM in Nashville with Joe Fisher on the call.
The television broadcast crew is comprised of Brad Nessler (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst) and Holly Rowe (sideline).
South Carolina leads the all-time series 18-4, but the Commodores have played the Gamecocks very close in recent years. South Carolina escaped Nashville with a 17-13 win last season. Vanderbilt’s last win in the series came in 2008 when the Commodores knocked off the Gamecocks, 24-17, in Nashville.
In 2007, Vanderbilt defeated No. 6 South Carolina, 17-6, in Columbia, S.C.
Both teams enter Saturday’s game with identical 1-1 overall records. The Commodores and Gamecocks are also both in search of their first SEC win.
