Commodores Set for Final Fall Event

Men’s tennis to compete at Georgia Tech Invitational beginning Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt men’s tennis program returns to action for the final time this fall when play begins Friday morning at the Georgia Tech Invitational.

The Commodores will enter three doubles teams along with seven individuals in singles competition, with the tournament field including two other SEC squads and a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference members including the host Yellow Jackets.

Both Jeremie Casabon and Nathan Cox advanced to the Round of 16 in the main singles draw at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship the last time the Dores competed, while Casabon and Siim Troost were one of three Vandy tandems to reach the Round of 16 in doubles play.

Dates: Friday-Sunday
Site: Ken Byers Tennis Complex

Competing Schools: Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami (Fla.), Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Yale

Format: The event will include round-robin play in both singles and doubles.

Schedule:
Friday: Doubles at 9 a.m. CT, followed immediately by singles
Saturday: Doubles at 9 a.m., followed immediately by singles
Sunday: Doubles at 8 a.m., followed immediately by singles
