COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Vanderbilt swim team is has trained all season for postseason success, and that time is finally here as the Commodores compete in the 2016 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships.
Taking place in Columbia, Missouri, the SEC Championships will last Feb 16th — 20th with action taking place inside the Mizzou Aquatic Center. 12 SEC teams will be in attendance this week as Ole Miss and Mississippi State do not have swimming and diving programs.

Complete coverage from all five days of competition will be live streamed through SEC Network+ and the WatchESPN app, links will be posted on VUCommodores.com as well as @VanderbiltSwim.
Last season the Commodores entered and exited league championships in Auburn breaking records. Overall, the squad recorded eight school records all in a week’s span, and look to do this same this season.
So far this year, VU has dropped three records in the 200 breaststroke, 400 IM and the 100 Fly. In addition, Johanna Goldblatt set one freshman record in the 50-freestyle.
The 2016 Championship kicks off Tuesday morning at 11:00 am with women’s 1-meter diving. The Commodores first event will Tuesday night at 5:30 pm CT with the 200 medley relay finals, followed be the 800 free relay finals at 6:15.
