Commodores Find Success on Nationwide Tour 6/26/2006
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt men’s golf program made its presence felt this past weekend at the Nationwide Tour’s Chattanooga Classic at Black Creek Club. Former Commodore Brandt Snedeker placed second after eagling Sunday’s final hole to force a playoff, while rising senior Luke List carded four rounds under par — including a 66 on Friday and a 65 on Saturday — to finish in a tie for 35th place. Snedeker earned more than $50,000 for his efforts, while List, an amateur, forfeited his share of the prize money. A two-time All-American, Snedeker tied a course record with an opening-round of 62. He carded four eagles on the weekend to lead the field. Tournament highlights for List included a string of birdies on six straight holes (Nos. 3-8) during Saturday’s third round.
