SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Vanderbilt swim team had a tough battle in its tri-meet on Friday in San Diego. The `Dores were edged out by UC San Diego 151-143 and lost to San Diego State 168-94. Vanderbilt earned many podium finishes in a meet that was filled with very close races and great competition.
The highlight of the meet was the upperclassmen for the Commodores, as they did most of the damage on the podium Friday afternoon.

Kayla Moran put together her most impressive meet this season as she picked up three podium finishes. She earned a second place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (56.89), finishing just behind teammate Breanna Sapienza. Moran was also in the Vandy relay teams, which finished third in the 200-yard medley relay (1:47.00) and placed first in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:33.50).
