The Vanderbilt cross country and track and field programs held their annual pumpkin carving contest this week — and as usual, the competition was heated. The participants battled for bragging rights in four categories, which included the coveted “MVP” (most valuable pumpkin) award, the “best experience” (a new category this year), the “most creative” honors and the always-popular “best try” award.
