Joel Parker

The 2020 season is Joel Parker’s second year as a graduate assistant on Derek Mason’s Vanderbilt staff. He focuses on Commodore special teams, working with coordinator Devin Fitzsimmons.

In 2018, Parker contributed as a special teams intern with the program.

Parker graduated from Auburn in 2017 after assisting the Tiger football team for four years as a manager and student assistant. He was involved with Auburn teams that played in the 2018 Peach Bowl, 2017 SEC Championship, 2017 Sugar Bowl and 2015 Outback Bowl.

A native of Franklin, Tennessee, Parker played at Battle Ground Academy under former Vanderbilt player Roc Batten.

Parker is working toward a master’s of education in leadership and organizational development at Vanderbilt.
