Harris Barker
Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach
Harris Barker joined Vanderbilt as assistant football sports performance coach in 2024.
Barker came to Nashville following a stint as a graduate assistant for strength and conditioning at Georgia Southern, where he worked under Vanderbilt’s director of football sports performance, Robert Stiner.
Before that, Barker was a multi-sport student-athlete at Berry College, competing in basketball and track and field. He earned his bachelor’s in exercise science from Berry while overseeing strength and conditioning efforts for the men’s basketball, women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s track and field teams.
He has also worked as a strength and conditioning intern at Stephen F. Austin and Georgia Tech.
The Jackson, Tennessee, native is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and a certified personal trainer (CPT) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
