Calum Langdale
Assistant Coach, Goalkeepers
Vanderbilt soccer head coach Darren Ambrose announced the hiring of Calum Langdale as an assistant coach who will work primarily with the goalies ahead of the 2025 season. Langdale joined the black and gold after spending one season at Arkansas State as an assistant, where he also served primarily as a goalkeeper’s coach.
During the 2024 campaign at Arkansas State, Langdale helped the Red Wolves to a top-70 national ranking in all major goalkeeping categories, including save percentage (0.854 percent, 11th), saves per game (5.50, 54th), shutout percentage (0.438, 65th) and goals-against average (0.938 percent, 70th).
The Dundee, Scotland, native spent one year with Nashville Rhythm FC, assisting the club to an undefeated season and the 2023 Southeastern Conference Championship. In addition, he served as an assistant coach at Trevecca Nazarene University and was a goalkeeper coach for Nashville’s United Soccer Academy MLS Next programs. Langdale played a key role in the Trojans’ defense, conceding less than 10 goals during the 2023 season.
Langdale attended Freed-Hardeman University where he served as the team’s keeper from 2017-21, registering over 4800 minutes in net and marking 256 saves while boasting a 64.8 save percentage over 60 matches.
