Caitlin Geary
Assistant Coach
Former Auburn swimmer Caitlin Geary has been named assistant coach of the Vanderbilt swim team. Geary will replace former assistant Angie Nicolletta, who left to take a position at Alabama.
“I am really grateful for Vanderbilt and Jeremy (Organ) giving me the opportunity to coach,” Geary said. “I am excited to be back in the SEC, the best conference in the county! I’m looking forward to working with the girls on the team and helping them reach their goals and have a great season.”
Geary was a 12-time All-American during her four-year career at Auburn. She is the school recorder holder in the 200-yard freestyle relay and 800-yard freestyle relay. She also claimed five SEC-titles in the 800-yard freestyle relay (2x), 200-yard freestyle, and the 400-yard freestyle relay (2x).
A native of Orlando, Fla., Geary went to the Bolles School before attending Auburn. She swam with the Bolles School Sharks and claimed three state championships, two as a senior (200 IM, 500 free), and one as a junior (100 free). She was named Swimmer of the Year as a senior after an undefeated season and was the 2006 and 2007 Southern Zone Sectionals high-point scorer.
Geary graduated from Auburn in 2011 with a bachelor’s in Psychology and completed her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn in 2013.
