MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – No. 25 Vanderbilt soccer tallied its second consecutive shutout and fourth of nonconference play on Sunday night with a 1-0 victory over Middle Tennessee at the Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium.
Junior forward Sydney Watts netted the game-winner in the 77th minute, finishing a pass from Reagan Pentz for her team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Keeper Sara Wojdelko earned her third shutout of the season and improved to 6-1 on the year, while the Commodore defense did not allow a single shot on target.
Vandy dominated possession, owning 59 percent and held a 10–0 advantage in total shots, including five on frame. Vanderbilt also earned five corner kicks while holding Middle Tennessee (4-3-1) without a shot attempt.
