NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Courtney Jones powered No. 21 Vanderbilt soccer to its ninth clean sheet of the season with a 2-0 victory over Missouri at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex on Friday night.
Vanderbilt registered its 10th win of the year, for the sixth time under head coach Darren Ambrose. It marks the first time with back-to-back 10-win seasons since 2018 and 2019.
The Commodores (10-3-1, 4-2-1 SEC) controlled play throughout, dominating possession at 66 percent and outshooting the Tigers 19-5.
Jones opened the scoring in the 12th minute off a dish from Reagan Pentz to register her fourth goal of the season. Just eight minutes later, Jones doubled the lead with her second of the night, finishing a setup from Olivia Stafford to make it 2–0.
