NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Championship season begins for the No. 2-ranked Vanderbilt men’s golf team this week, as the Commodores are set to travel to Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Georgia, for the 2024 SEC Men’s Golf Championship.
Tournament Format
The 2024 SEC Men’s Golf Championship takes place April 24-28 on the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club. Teams will play in a 54-hole stroke-play tournament over the first three days with one 18-hole round being played per day.
The top eight teams from stroke play advance to match play. The SEC Men’s Golf Championship quarterfinals will be held Saturday morning with the semifinals taking place that afternoon. The semifinal matches will stream live on SEC Network+ starting at 2 p.m. CT.
The championship match of the 2024 SEC Men’s Golf Championship takes place Sunday and will air live at 7 a.m. CT on SEC Network.
Course Information
The 2024 SEC Men’s Golf Championship will be played on the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club in St Simons Island, Georgia. It is a 7,005-yard course that plays as a par 70.

All 14 conference teams will compete at the 2024 SEC Men’s Golf Championship. Along with No. 2-ranked Vanderbilt, a total of nine SEC teams are currently ranked inside the top 25 of the Clippd rankings.

Tee Times and Pairings
The first three days of the 2024 SEC Men’s Golf Championship get underway at 7 a.m. CT. Pairings for the first round will be determined by the final regular season Clippd rankings. For the second and third rounds, teams will be paired according to score.
Saturday’s quarterfinal matches begin Friday at 6:30 a.m. CT, with the semifinal matches taking place at noon that same day. The 2024 SEC Men’s Golf Championship match tees off Sunday at 7 a.m. CT.

Vanderbilt at the SEC Men’s Golf Championship
The Commodores have enjoyed a fair amount of success at the SEC Men’s Golf Championship recently, as Vandy has won three of the last six conference titles. Vanderbilt won its first SEC Men’s Golf Championship in 2017, then captured the title in both 2021 and 2022. The Dores just missed out on a three-peat at the SEC Men’s Golf Championship last season, as Vanderbilt fell to Florida, 3-1-1, in the title match.
The Last Time Out
Junior Gordon Sargent became the second player to win multiple Mason Rudolph Championships, while the No. 3-ranked Vanderbilt men’s golf team claimed its fifth-straight title at its home tournament after carding 30-under 822 over three days of play at Vanderbilt Legends Club.
As a team, Vanderbilt finished the 2024 Mason Rudolph Championship at 30-under 822 to claim its fifth-straight title at the event. It is the third-straight season that Vandy has claimed victory at its home tournament, as the Mason Rudolph was not played in 2020 and 2021. The Commodores posted scores of 276-275-271 over three days of play at Vanderbilt Legends’ South Course to claim their ninth overall championship at the Mason Rudolph. Additionally, it is Vanderbilt’s sixth team title of the season.
