LEXINGTON, Ky. – Vanderbilt men’s golf senior John Broderick posted a top-five finish at the 2025 Cullan Brown Collegiate, as he carded 4-under 138 over a shortened 36 holes to tie for fourth.
Broderick, who was making his 2025-26 debut at the Cullan Brown Collegiate, went under par in both of his rounds at the Lexington Country Club, as the senior posted scores of 70-68 to end play in a tie for fourth. Broderick held the second-best par-4 score in the 90-golfer field at 3-under.
By tying for fourth at the Cullan Brown Collegiate, Broderick posts his second collegiate top-five finish. The Wellesley, Massachusetts, native also tied for third at the 2024 Wolfpack Individual as a sophomore.
Freshman Will Hartman, who was playing in his second tournament as a Commodore, carded a season-best 1-over 143. The Marvin, North Carolina, native collected seven birdies over 36 holes and held round scores of 72-71 to end play in a tie for 33rd.
Senior Ben Loomis made his 2025-26 debut and finished at 7-over to tie for 66th on the player leaderboard. The senior also collected seven birdies over two rounds at the Lexington Country Club.
The tournament’s third round was called due to inclement weather. Kentucky’s Cole Stockard captured the individual title with a score of 6-under 136. Mississippi State won the team title, as the Bulldogs finished the tournament at 11-under 557.
Astiazaran to Compete on World Stage
Junior Carlos Astiazaran is set to represent Mexico at this week’s 2025 World Amateur Team Championships in Singapore. The event takes place Wednesday-Saturday at the Tanah Merah Country Club. Fans can click the link here for tee times and information on the World Amateur Team Championships.
