Bobby Johnson to Appear on SportsLine 3/28/2006 Vanderbilt Head Coach Bobby Johnson, in the midst of prepping his football squad for the annual Black & Gold Scrimmage this weekend, is scheduled to be the special guest tonight on SportsLine, a Nashville television talk show that airs on the NewChannel5+ (Channel 50). Eric Yutzy, a sports co-anchor at WTVF NewsChannel 5, will host the one-hour show that takes an in-depth look at the progress Coach Johnson’s Commodore squad has made in spring drills. The show starts at 8:00 p.m., CT. The Commodores, coming off a 5-6 campaign in 2005 that concluded with a victory over Tennessee in Knoxville, are starting the third week of Spring Practice today, working toward the featured Black & Gold Scrimmage this Saturday in Vanderbilt Stadium. The scrimmage starts at 10 a.m., and is free to all Commodore fans. This spring, Johnson’s staff is working to develop more depth while finding replacements for several key players lost to graduation, including quarterback and SEC Offensive Player of the Year Jay Cutler and two-time All-SEC linebacker Moses Osemwegie. |
