NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt lacrosse attacker Jaime Biskup has been named the 2024-25 Speer Award recipient in Human Development Studies, the university announced over the weekend.
The Speer Award, named for Human and Organizational Development Chair Emeritus and HDS pioneer Paul Speer, is given to an outstanding member of the graduating class of Human Development Studies students. It honors a graduate who excels academically and demonstrates humane instincts, a passion for developing themselves and their colleagues, and a demonstrated capacity for promoting human flourishing.
Biskup transferred to Vanderbilt from Virginia and has since received master’s degrees in marketing in 2024 and human development studies this spring, all while completing her final years of NCAA eligibility as a lacrosse student-athlete. In taking on HDS in just one year Biskup carried nearly double the course load of many of her peers, all while balancing the rigors of athletics.
While excelling in the classroom, the Manorville, New York, native was a key contributor to the lacrosse program this season. After being sidelined during the 2024 season due to injury, Biskup was named to first-team All-American Athletic Conference after leading the Commodores with 46 goals and 20 assists for a team-high 66 points.
