The Commodores head to New Orleans for the Conference USA Bowling Championships

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt bowling, ranked third nationally, travels to New Orleans for the 2025 Conference USA Bowling Championships at Colonial Lanes.

Season Rewind

  • Vandy ended the regular season with a fourth-place finish at the Music City Classic where two Commodores, Victoria Varano and Isabel Allen, earned spots on the all-tournament team with top 10 individual finishes
  • The Commodores won the PVAMU Invitational and Stallings Invitational
  • Vandy student-athletes have received 10 all-tournament team honors this season
  • Allen and Alyssa Ballard have each registered a first-place individual finish this season–Allen at the PVAMU Invitational and Ballard at the Stallings Invitational
  • Vanderbilt has notched eight top-five finishes in its 10 regular season tournaments (did not bowl the third day at the Northeast Classic due to inclement weather)
  • Vandy broke the school record with a 1,237 traditional game at the Ladyjack Classic
  • The Dores bowled a 299 Baker game at the Storm Flyer Classic
  • At the PVAMU Invitational, Vanderbilt totaled 1,214 pins in a traditional game, the third highest in school history

The Weekend Ahead
The Commodores enter the competition as the No. 3 seed. Defending national champion Jacksonville State earned the top seed, and Youngstown State grabbed the No. 2 spot. Wichita State will be the fourth-seeded team at the tournament.

Championship Format
The Conference USA Championship will be determined by the mega-match format, which includes three different rounds or points, and a team must earn two points to win the match. Teams will play one traditional match, one five-game Baker set, and if necessary, a best-of-seven Baker match.

Vanderbilt will open play at the Conference USA Championship Thursday at 9 a.m. when the Commodores take on sixth-seeded Stephen F. Austin.
