NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt’s Tim Beck is a semifinalist for the 2025 Broyles Award it was announced Tuesday by the Frank and Barbara Broyles Foundation.
The Commodore offensive coordinator is one of 15 candidates eligible to receive the honor presented annually to the top assistant coach in college football. Vandy fans across America can submit votes in support of Beck at BroylesAward.com/Vote before the five finalists are revealed, with the ultimate winner of the award set to be announced on Feb. 12, 2026.
Under Beck’s direction this season, the Commodore offense is No. 1 in the nation in ESPN’s FPI index with a 93.5 efficiency rate that is nearly four points higher than the second-ranked team. The Dores are averaging 39.4 points—the program’s highest mark since the 1915 campaign—and 468.5 yards per contest against a schedule that includes five of the top 25 Power 4 teams in the country in scoring defense. Not only does Vandy lead the nation with an average of 7.54 yards per snap and 111 explosive plays, but it is also among the top 10 in scoring offense, team passing efficiency, third-down conversion percentage, completion percentage and first downs after defeating No. 18/18 Tennessee 45-24 in Knoxville on Saturday.
Beck has helped graduate quarterback Diego Pavia become one of the favorites to claim the Heisman Trophy and graduate tight end Eli Stowers develop into a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy® and John Mackey Award. Under his guidance, the former ranks in the top 10 nationally in total offense, passing efficiency, touchdowns passing, yards per pass attempt, completion percentage and points responsible for while the latter has more receiving yards than any tight end in the country and is second among all players at the position in receptions.
Beck’s efforts have helped the Commodores win 10 games in a season for the first time in program history this fall, as well as earn a school-record six SEC victories.
