ATHENS, Ga. — Vanderbilt men’s tennis added another doubles win and a pair of singles wins from Joubert Klopper at the Bulldog Invitational on Saturday inside the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Klopper began the day in the consolation bracket after a tough, three-set match Friday. He rebounded for a decisive, 6-2, 6-3 win over Dartmouth’s Alejandro Quiles and then led 3-2 before Tennessee’s Mark Wallner retired from the match.
Klopper was also part of Vanderbilt’s doubles win. He teamed up with Connor Robb-Wilcox for an 8-2 victory over Miami’s pairing of Vasser/Jalif.
Junior Siim Troot lost a long three-setter in the quarterfinals. He narrowly dropped the first set in the tiebreaker 7-5, rebounded to win 6-2 before falling 6-3 in the final set. He also paired with Michael Ross and dropped a close battle 8-6 against Georgia’s Paulsell/Grevelius on their home courts.
