VIDEO OF THE DAY
Caldwell’s post-practice press conference on Sunday – Watch Video
A couple of notes:
1) Caldwell stated that the quarterback competition has been tremendous so far between Larry Smith, Jared Funk and Jordan Rodgers. Caldwell said he’d consider playing more than one QB depending on their performance. “Whatever we need to do, we’ll do it. That’s kind of my philosophy… If you’re not getting the job done, another one goes in.”
2) As Leathers mentioned in his practice recap, camp was a lot more physical Sunday. “The emotions were flying,” Caldwell remarked, “and it’s been very competitive. Nothing leaves the field, so I’m not too upset about that.”
3) When asked if Jamie Graham will see time on offense, Caldwell said the versatile junior is locked in at cornerback at the moment. “But, if we need him to catch a ball, we’ll put him out there and sling it down the field. It would be foolish not to use him, if we’re not getting it done (on offense).”

QUOTE OF THE DAY
“My heart was beating pretty fast. I was a little nervous just to see how everybody was going to react. I walked in and everybody was congratulating me and were happy with me. Everybody is being pretty cool around me. It’s a pretty good feeling to walk into a clubhouse like that.”
