HONOLULU — The Vanderbilt football program successfully made the trip from Nashville to Honolulu on Sunday.
The Commodores and all those traveling with them landed in Hawai’i’s capital city Sunday evening after an eight-hour-and-39-minute flight. A 2:20 p.m. take off from Nashville International Airport culminated with a touchdown at 6 p.m. local time at Daniel K. Inouye Airport.
From there the Dores bussed to the Marriott Waikiki Resort where the team had dinner and where treatment was available for student-athletes.
Vandy is scheduled to practice at 9:30 a.m. local time Monday and the Commodores will then participate at a community service event Monday afternoon at Papahana Kualoa.
Vanderbilt is also scheduled to practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning ahead of a final walk-through Friday afternoon. Head coach Clark Lea’s squad then makes its 2022 debut at 9:30 p.m. CT Saturday against the Rainbow Warriors.
