Congratulations to the Northwestern Wildcats, champions of the 2011 American Lacrosse Conference Tournament. Northwestern defeated Florida, 10-9, to claim its fifth-straight tournament championship.

Saturday’s championship game will feature Florida and Northwestern, the leagtue’s op two seeds. The opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT at the VU Lacrosse Complex.

NASHVILLE – The 2011 American Lacrosse Conference Championship begins today, Thursday, May 5, at 3 p.m. CT, as the host Vanderbilt Commodores take on Ohio State at the VU Lacrosse Complex on campus.
Thursday’s second game features Penn State and Johns Hopkins and is scheduled to begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. Top seeds Florida and Northwestern await the winners of Thursday’s games in semifinals scheduled for 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Friday. The championship game will take place on Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m.

Admission to the 2011 ALC Tournament is $7 for adults and $4 for children and seniors.are available at the gate. Tickets are available at the gate. Groups of 20 or more are eligible for discounted pricing by calling the Vanderbilt Ticket Office at 615-322-GOLD.
Parking is available at the 25th Avenue Garage. Patrons are asked to use the Highland Avenue entrance of the garage then proceed to the VU Lacrosse Complex through the courtyard in front of the Currey Tennis Center.
Following Thursday’s second quarterfinal game, conference awards will be handed out during an on-field ceremony.
