The 15th ranked Commodore men’s golf team returns the course for its final tournament of the fall season when they take part in the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational this Sunday through Tuesday at the Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla.

The field at this week’s event is one of the toughest in men’s collegiate golf and features nine of the top 30 teams in the nation. The Commodores have the fifth-ranked toughest fall schedule in the country.

“We are excited to play this week,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh. “It will be the first time this event has been at Lake Nona and it’s a great opportunity to play another outstanding course against some great competition. “

Competing for Vanderbilt
The Commodores will send senior Ben Fogler, sophomore Zach Herr, freshman Theo Humphrey, junior Carson Jacobs, and senior Hunter Stewart to compete in this week’s event.

“Our focus since our last tournament has just been on doing the simple things correctly and learning from our mistakes,” said Limbaugh. “I think the guys have done a really good job with that. I am looking forward to seeing how we respond as we try to finish the fall season strong.”

Participating Teams
Vanderbilt will be joined by Illinois, UCF, Florida State, Baylor, Georgia, California, Arkansas, Florida, North Florida, Indiana, Texas Tech, UNLV, GRU-Augusta, and New Mexico.

Lake Nona Golf and Country Club
The Lake Nona Golf and Country Club will be set up as a par-72, 7,200-yard format.
