Vanderbilt sophomore Courtney Zeng carded a second-round 73 to lead the Commodores on the second day of play at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C., on Saturday. As a team, the Commodores posted a team total of 302 in the second round, and are in a tie for ninth on the team leader board with a score of 596 (294-302).
Zeng is Vanderbilt’s individual leader after two rounds with a score of 146 (73-73), which ties her for 14th individually. Other counting scores for the Commodores on Saturday included a pair of 76’s from senior Kate Sborov and freshman Abbey Carlson, and a 77 from junior Alexandra Farnsworth.
Duke and Alabama leads the team standings with a five-over par, 573, and the Crimson Tide’s Kristen Gillman leads all individuals with a three-under, 139.
The final round of the tournament concludes on Sunday.
