NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 20/21 Vanderbilt women’s basketball team returns home to play host to Northern Arizona on the final day of fall classes at the university, Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. CT in Memorial Gymnasium.

The Commodores are coming off an exciting come-from-behind win Sunday at Old Dominion, where junior Guard Dee Davis scored all of her 16 points in the second half to lead a VU rally that resulted in a 82-77 victory. Junior Caroline Williams’ led four Commodores in double-figures with a team-high 20 points.

Davis’ 16 points, her second double-digit outing of the young season, was paired with 10 assists, marking Vanderbilt’s first double-double of the year.

Vanderbilt has never faced Northern Arizona. The Lumberjacks, members of the Big Sky Conference, come to the Music City with a record of 5-1. NAU is led by junior forward Megan Porter, averaging 20.2 points per game. The team’s only other player in double-figures is junior Alyssa Wahl, who returned from a preseason injury in the squad’s last game to score 14 points.

Following Thursday’s game, Vanderbilt will play host to Miami (Ohio) on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. before taking a 10-day break during final exams. The Commodores will then take a pre-holiday road trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. (to face North Carolina) and Philadelphia, Pa. (LaSalle).
