Women’s Golfers 15th in Florida 3/6/2005 GAINESVILLE — Vanderbilt’s women’s golf team finished in 15th place at Sunday the 33rd Annual Lady Gator Invitational. The Commodores shot 323 to finish the 54-hole event with a 953 total. Wake Forest led wire-to-wire and ended with an 883 score, 19 strokes better than second place Auburn. The only Vanderbilt golfer who could break 80 today over the difficult University of Florida Golf Course was sophomore Chris Brady. The North Carolinian shot five-over 75 for her best round of the tournament. Myrte Eikenaar of Purdue was five-over par (215) for the event to claim medalist honors by a shot over Ashley Hoagland of Wake Forest. Other Commodore scores today included Kristen Svicarovich with an 81, Helen-Rose Richards at 83, Liebelei Lawrence at 84 and Devon Unkeless with a 92. |
