Women's Golf Remains in Fourth at Stanford

Ninth-ranked Vanderbilt shot a second-round 8-over par 292 Saturday and remains in fourth place at the Stanford Women’s Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, Calif. Final round play at the Stanford Golf Course (par 71, 5,985 yards) begins Sunday at 9:40 a.m. CT.

The Commodores are at 12-over par for the tournament – 16 strokes behind leader and host Stanford (564). The sixth-ranked Cardinal shot a second round-best 278 on Saturday to surge past second place and 12th-ranked Arizona (569) for the lead. Top-ranked Georgia (570) is third at 2-over par for the tournament.

Sophomore Jacqui Concolino slipped into a tie for 11th place following a second-round 2-over par 73. Concolino struggled early with three bogies on the front nine but shot 1-under par on the back nine.

Concolino (69+73=142) is tied with two other players at even-par for the tournament. She is six shots behind tournament leader Whitney Wade (67+69=136) of Georgia.

Senior Chris Brady (71+75=146) dropped into a tie for 24th place after a 3-over par 74 on Saturday. Senior Kristen Svicarovich (74+73=147) is tied for 27th, one stroke behind Brady. Svicarovich was 2-over par on the day. Junior Liebelei Lawrence (74+75=148) is tied for 34th after a 4-over par performance. Brooke Goodwin (79+71=150) carded the top round by a Commodore on Saturday. The freshman posted an even-par 71, climbing into a tie for 38th.

Vanderbilt will start the final round Sunday from the first hole at 9:40 a.m. CT.
