10/7/2006 Trio of Commodores Move within Three Shots of Lead Vanderbilt posted a season-best 6-over par 294 Saturday and remains in first place at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. The 18th-ranked Commodores (301+294=595) head into final round action Sunday at the UNC Finley Golf Course (Par 72, 6,285 yards) with a three shot lead over No. 2 Duke (303+295=598), who moved up the leader board with a 7-over par 295. Host North Carolina (304+296=600) is five shots behind Vanderbilt in third while Virginia (303+301=604) is nine shots behind in fourth place. Sophomore Jacqui Concolino (76+70=146) leads a trio of Commodores who have pulled within three shots of the individual leader, Jennie Lee of Duke (72+72=144). Concolino carded the second-best individual round of the day with a 2-under par 70 to move into fourth place. The Orlando, Fla. native posted five birdies and shot even-par on 10 holes. Seniors Chris Brady and Kristen Svicarovich are tied for fifth place with two other players at 147. Brady (74+73=147) shot a 1-over par 73 while Svicarovich carded a 1-under par 71. Svicarovich was 4-under par after the 13th hole but a bogie on No. 14 and a bogie on No. 15 slowed her climb.
