Women's Golf competing at Stanford Intercollegiate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt women’s golf team travels to Palo Alto, Calif., for the Stanford Fall Intercollegiate this weekend at the par 71, 6,117-yard Stanford Golf Course, with play beginning on Friday morning. Thirteen out of the 15 schools competing in the tournament this weekend are ranked in the top 40 of the latest Golfweek rankings, and the Commodores enter the tournament with a No. 6 national ranking.

The competing teams are No. 19 Stanford, No. 31 Arizona, No. 24 Arkansas, No. 18 California, No. 9 Duke, No. 47 New Mexico, No. 5 Oklahoma State, No. 27 Oregon, No. 39 Oregon State, No. 14 Pepperdine, No. 1 USC, No. 59 Texas, No. 3 UCLA, No. 58 UNLV and No. 25 Washington (Rankings according to Golfweek Magazine).

The Commodores have had quite a bit of success at the tournament and won the event in 2006.

Senior Jacqui Concolino, junior Brooke Goodwin, sophomore Megan Grehan, and freshmen Marina Alex and Andrea Messer will represent the Commodores at this weekend’s event.
