NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 19/20 Vanderbilt women’s basketball game returns to the road this week, heading east for games in the neighboring states of North Carolina and Virginia.

On Wednesday, Nov. 30, the Commodores will face N.C. State at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh. Vanderbilt will be looking to avenge a 65-64 home loss to the Wolfpack in January of 2005, the Commodores’ first non-conference home loss in 50 games.

In that matchup, forward Carla Thomas put up a double-double for the Commodores, with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Dee Davis led all Vanderbilt scorers with 13 points in the contest.

N.C. State’s Rachel Stockdale scored 14 of her game-high 16 points in the second half, leading her team to rally from a 12-point deficit in the final 16 minutes of the game.

Vanderbilt is riding a five-game winning streak, and holds a 1-0 record over Atlantic Coast Conference foes this season. The Commodores defeated the Clemson Tigers, 86-49, in the consolation round of the WBCA/BTI Classic in Tempe, Ariz., earlier this month.

Vanderbilt is averaging 74.3 points per game on the season, and has won its last five games by an average margin of 37.0 points.

Following their game with N.C. State, the Commodores will again head east this weekend to face Old Dominion on Sunday, Dec. 4 in Norfolk, Va.
