The Commodores took 16th place out of the 25 teamscompeted at the Auburn Invitational this weekend.

Due to two injuries, Vanderbilt was only able to run eight players, putting the Commodores at a disadvantage from other teams running at full capacity.

Despite the conditions, two players, sophomores Austin Williamson and Chris Noel were able to set personal records at the Indian Hills course. Williamson finished first for the Commodores with a mark at 24:59 and was followed by Noel who finished at 25:56.

The Commodores will be waiting this week to see if freshman Matt Long, who sat out Saturdays contest, will be able to compete in the next race at Evansville, Indiana on October 15. Mike Gabrys, who also did not participate at Auburn is expected to return to racing by the SEC tournament October 29.
