NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s basketball has inked Sebastian Williams-Adams to the Commodores’ 2026-27 roster. The Houston native spent his first collegiate season at Auburn in 2025-26.
Williams-Adams enjoyed a promising freshman campaign, averaging 7.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in just over 27 minutes per game. The 6-foot-8 forward set an Auburn freshman record with 47 steals while logging the third-most minutes by a freshman in program history. Williams-Adams was one of just 18 freshmen in the major conferences to play over 1,000 minutes last season.
The versatile forward scored in double figures 10 times and shot 50.5 percent from the field on nearly 200 attempts. He helped the Tigers to the NIT Championship where he scored 13 points with two steals in the title game. Over the five-game NIT run, Williams-Adams shot 53.3 percent from the floor while hitting 4-of-7 three-point attempts.
As a high-school prospect, Williams-Adams was ranked as the No. 35 player in the class of 2025 and a top 10 player positionally. He played his high school basketball at St. John’s School where he averaged 18.9 points and 8.2 rebounds in his final season.
Williams-Adams has also been a fixture on the USA Basketball development circuit, attending U18 training camp in 2024 along with the Junior National Team’s minicamp in 2022, 23 and 24.
Williams-Adams is set to join the Commodores as a sophomore in 2026-27. He is the fifth transfer to join Vanderbilt in the current portal cycle.
