White's radio show at Ruth's Chris set for Nov. 9 debut

Nov. 1, 2016

The first installment of The Vanderbilt Coach’s Show — featuring first-year Commodore head coach Stephanie White — is set for Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse from 6 to 7 p.m.

The show, which will be broadcast on Vanderbilt WBB’s flagship stations, WNSR 560 AM and 95.9 FM, will also be broadcast on the following dates: Jan. 9, 16, 23 and Feb. 6 and 20. Fans are invited to attend all shows.

“We are so excited to be partnering with Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse,” said White. “We are going to have a fun, interactive show and we invite the fans to come be a part of it.”

The show will be held in the Library Room at Ruth’s Chris and cocktail seating will be available. On broadcast dates, Happy Hour will be extended through 7 p.m. and will include food and drink specials.

Vanderbilt fans will be able to get the inside scoop on the Commodores during the show, as White will take questions from the crowd. Charlie Mattos — who enters his 23rd season as the Voice of the Commodores — will serve as the host of the show.

“I’m so excited to be hosting the Coach’s Show again,” said Mattos. “My first exposure to Vanderbilt women’s basketball was hosting Jim Foster’s one-hour show back in 1992! I am looking forward to visiting with Stephanie, and talking about some of the best student-athletes in the nation, on a weekly basis.”

Vanderbilt opens the season on Nov. 11, hosting Kennesaw State. Ticket information can be found HERE or by calling 615-322-GOLD.
