WG: VU Finishes Fourth at PING Invite

Sixth-ranked Vanderbilt posted a 6-over par 294 Sunday to finish in fourth place at the PING-Arizona State Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. The Commodores’ three-day total of 875 concluded the event 24 strokes behind tournament host and No. 2 ranked Arizona State (851). Ten of the 17 participating schools were listed in the latest Golfweek rankings.

Vanderbilt sophomore Jacqui Concolino tied Arizona State’s Jennifer Osborn for fourth place in the individual standings with a three-round 211. Concolino posted her third consecutive round below par at the tournament with a 1-under 71 on the final day. Concolino performed well on the front nine with four birdies and was 4-under par after 14 holes. However, she recorded a bogie on No. 15 and took a double bogie on No. 16.

Senior Chris Brady shot a 1-over par 73 on Sunday to finish in a four-way tie for 15th place at 218. Brady was 2-under par on the front side and even through 15 holes. She took a double bogie on No. 16 and would finish 3-over on the back nine.

Junior Liebelei Lawrence finished with a 3-over par 75 in final round action to finish tied for 31st place at 223. Senior Kristen Svicarovich ended the tournament tied for 33rd position (224) after posting a 4-over par 76 on Sunday. Freshman Brooke Goodwin tied for 46th place (228), finishing with a 3-over 75 on Sunday.

The Commodores welcome Belmont and Kentucky for the Vanderbilt Triangular on April 14 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin.
