The Vanderbilt women’s golf team will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., to participate in the 2009 Tar Heel Invitational October 9-11 at the UNC Finley Golf Course. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will begin with tee times beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday morning.
The Commodores, who finished third at last year’s Tar Heel Invitational, will compete with Alabama, Auburn, Denver, Duke, East Carolina, Florida State, Kent State, Louisville, Michigan State, North Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UNC Wilmington, Virginia, and Wake Forest in the three-day event.
Vanderbilt will send senior Brooke Goodwin, junior Megan Grehan, sophomore Marina Alex, and freshmen Anna Leigh Keith and Lauren Stratton to compete at the tournament.
Finley Golf Course will be set up as a par-72, 6,285-yard layout for the weekend. Live scoring of the tournament will be available on www.Golfstat.com and at the link above.
