The Vanderbilt women’s golf team heads to Chicago this Monday and Tuesday to participate in the Windy City Collegiate in an event hosted by Northwestern at the Glen View Club.
The Commodores will compete with Arizona, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Iowa State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Purdue, Stanford, Tulane, and USC at their second tournament of the 2016-17 season.
“The Windy City tournament has quickly become one of the good ones,” said Vanderbilt Greg Allen. “I’m excited to get to this part of the country because this is where we want to be in mid-May. We’ve had some really good practices since the Mason and continue to get one day better. That’s what we will continue trying to do while we’re here, focus on the little things and the pay attention to the things we can control.”
Vanderbilt will send senior Kate Sborov, junior Alexandra Farnsworth, sophomore Courtney Zeng, and freshmen Alison Armstrong and Abbey Carlson to compete on the par-72, 6,338 yard Glen View Club layout.
Thirty-six holes will be played on Monday, with the final 18 taking place on Tuesday morning.
