TUCSON, AZ—Vanderbilt’s Kristen Svicarovich shot two-over par 73 Monday to finish in a fourth place tie at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational.
It was an otherwise difficult tournament for the highly rated Commodores, who finished in a 10th place tie with Stanford after All-American Chris Brady was forced to withdraw today, replaced by Liebelei Lawrence who had been unable to play the first two days. At no point in this tournament, which has been good to Vanderbilt in past appearances, did the Commodores compete with its full compliment of five players.
Arizona State won the event at 16-over par, eight strokes ahead of Duke. Vanderbilt was plus-62. Amanda Blumenherst of Duke was the medalist at three-under par 210, the only golfer in the field in red numbers.
