The Commodore women’s golf team is in fifth place after the first day of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a team total of 610 (315-295). Junior Marina Alex and sophomore Anna Leigh Keith led Vanderbilt with a pair of 152’s at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course.
Vanderbilt played 36 holes on Monday and will finish the final 18 of the 54-hole event on Tuesday.
Arizona State leads the tournament with a ten-over par, 586 (293-293), five strokes better than second-place Notre Dame, who has a total of 591 (298-293).
The Sun Devils’ Carlota Ciganda leads all individuals with a 142 (68-74). She has a one stroke lead on Arizona’s Alejandra Llaneza.
