The Commodore women’s golf team finished in sixth at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a team total of 927 (315-295-317), with freshman Rene Sobolewski leading the way for Vanderbilt with a career-best finish. Sobolewski finished in a tie for 19th with a 230 (78-75-77).
Senior Megan Grehan and junior Marina Alex were next for Vanderbilt, finishing in a tie for 26th with a score of 232.
Arizona State won the tournament with a 23-over par, 887 (293-293-301), 15 strokes better than second-place Arizona, who finished with a 902 (299-301-302).
The Sun Devils’ Carlota Ciganda won the tournament with a one-under par 215 (68-74-73).
