Fresh off of their Mason Rudolph Championship win, the Commodore women’s golf team heads to Orlando, Fla., to take part in the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, a tournament named after former LPGA star Annika Sorenstam. The tournament will take place at the Reunion Resort’s Watson Course.
The Field
Vanderbilt will be joined by USC, UCLA, Arizona State, Arizona, Pepperdine, Northwestern, South Carolina, Stanford, Duke, Oklahoma State, and Alabama.
Twelve out of the top 15 teams in collegiate golf will compete this weekend according to rankings from the end of the last year. The Commodores finished the 2014 season ranked 11th.
Tournament Format
Fifty-four holes will be played over three days, with play beginning Sunday morning.
Playing for the Commodores
Seniors Kendall Martindale and Irina Gabasa, junior Jennifer Hahn, sophomore Antonia Scherer, and freshman Cindy Ha will tee it up for Vanderbilt this week.
Hahn won medalist honors in the Commodores’ home tournament last weekend, with the other four Vanderbilt players entered into the tournament this week finishing in the top 16.
