WBB television schedule announced

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced its 2011-12 women’s basketball television schedule on Thursday, and the Commodores will play on television 10 times during the regular season.

Vanderbilt’s television schedule is highlighted by national appearances on ESPN2 and ESPNU. The Commodores will also make two appearances on SEC Network and Fox Sports Network as well as four on CSS.

Six of the 10 televised games will be played at Memorial Gym. The team’s first televised game will be Jan. 12 when Auburn visits Nashville for an 8 p.m. tip on CSS. The majority of televised games will also be available on ESPN3.com. Here is the complete schedule of televised games.

– Jan. 12 – vs. Auburn, 8 p.m., CSS
– Jan. 15 – at Tennessee, 1 p.m., SEC
– Jan. 22 – vs. South Carolina, 12:30 p.m., ESPNU
– Jan. 26 – vs. Georgia, 8 p.m., CSS
– Feb. 9 – vs. Tennessee, 8 p.m., CSS
– Feb. 12 – at Georgia, 1 p.m., SEC
– Feb. 16 – vs. Florida, 8 p.m., FSN
– Feb. 20 – at Kentucky, 8 p.m., ESPN2
– Feb. 23 – at LSU, 8 p.m., FSN
– Feb. 26 – vs. Alabama, 3 p.m., CSS
