BERKELEY, Calif. – The No. 18 Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will face No. 13 Cal in the final game of the Contra Costa Times Classic at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday at Haas Pavilion. Listen to the game live in Commodore Nation All Access. The Commodores (7-1) are coming off a 90-69 victory over Saint Mary’s last night behind Christina Wirth’s game-high 18 points.

Junior forward Ashley Walker and sophomore center Rama N’diaye each posted double-doubles to lead No. 12 California to a 77-61 victory over Saint Mary’s Friday night on the opening day of the Contra Costa Times Classic at Haas Pavilion. The Golden Bears improved to 6-1, while the Gaels dropped to 5-3.
Cal is in search of its first win over a ranked team since the Bears defeated No. 8/9 Stanford, 72-57, Feb. 4, 2007. The Golden Bears bring a 27-game home non-conference winning streak into the Vanderbilt game and has won its own tournament four consecutive years – the first three Contra Costa Times Classics and the last Oakland Tribune Classic in 2003.
