NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The 17th-ranked Vanderbilt women’s basketball team plays host to Colorado Sunday at Memorial Gymnasium. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 2 p.m. CT.
The Commodores (8-2) won their 22nd consecutive regular season non-conference home game on Thursday, a 75-54 victory over Western Kentucky. Senior Liz Sherwood connected on 9-of-13 field goals to score a game-high 20 points to lead the VU win.
Colorado (5-2) has won four straight games, including a 69-55 victory over nationally ranked Wyoming. Senior Jackie McFarland leads the Buffaloes in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game.
The Commodores opened last season with an 81-76 in Boulder. Forward Christina Wirth was one of three Commodores in double-figures.
Currently in the middle of a five-game homestand, the Commodores will be
off for the next 13 days before playing host to Lipscomb on Saturday,
Dec. 23 (5:30 p.m.).
