Vanderbilt Vice Chancellor David Williams has announced that the Commodores’ postponed women’s basketball game with Florida will now tip off at 5:00 p.m. Friday in Memorial Gymnasium.
Severe weather had forced the unusual postponement from the planned Thursday evening game and it was first believed that 6 o’clock would be the best time for the reschedule.
“After further discussions with the Southeastern Conference and the University of Florida, taking into consideration all of the travel issues surrounding the final weekend of league play, we decided that the best time to play the game was 5 p.m.,” Williams said.

Friday’s rescheduled game will air on 560 AM in Nashville with an abbreviated pregame show beginning at 4:55 p.m. leading up to the 5 p.m. tip. The game will also be webcast for FREE on VUCommodores.com and will not be televised by CSS.
The first hour of Vanderbilt’s 4 p.m. baseball game will air on 560 AM until switching over to women’s basketball coverage.
