In following college athletics, there is a chance you have heard references to an organization known as SAAC, but you may not know anything beyond the name.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is comprised of two student-athletes from every team on campus and helps provide a voice for the student-athletes in the athletics department and on campus.
The organization also helps members communicate and support other student-athletes, develop leadership skills and participate in community service activities and programs designed to raise awareness about athletic events.
SAAC meetings are open to all student-athletes, regardless of whether they are a representative or not. The next meeting will be held at 8 p.m. on Oct. 22 in the McCall Room.
